We’re working hard preparing to launch sites aimed at bringing solution choices, real-life experience, expert commentary, interviews, products, and direct communication with people who have been helping, and who are, caregivers – particularly home-based — for many years. Even for those who are receiving care who have much to say or questions to ask, that will make some trying – maybe exhausting — times smoother, happier and better for all.
Most families will make decisions trying to finalize when, how, and/or where, a loved one needs close (many times in-home) care due to injury, age-related issues, loss of a spouse, or any number of scenarios life can just drop you into. There are issues about working through logistics with other family member and friends and even churches. There are always financial considerations those offering care and those accepting care. There are usually health issues, either recovery from a sudden event or ongoing choices dealing with specific health needs. There are always legal issues, for example aging parents who need guidance or help or understanding of estates, power-of-attorneys, in-home private care services, government intervention or necessary tax status changes.
All of us no matter what situation we’re in should be looking around us and seeing how important is truly important it is to make WISER choices now in our own lives to be sure we do not end up needing care for things that were very avoidable if we had “pre-emptively” addresses them earlier in our lives. As the data gathering becomes more sophisticated and time-verified, there are more and more examples that good lifestyle and nutritional choices practiced today — now – have a profound affect on our future longevity and what kind of care we might need, if any!
The readers who are more familiar with these ideas and topics are also quite familiar with the fact that there are many governmental agencies in many different government departments that deal with managing a huge (overwhelming to most) amount of legislation dealing with care giving and those who receive it no matter where or when or why it may be needed and wanted.
If you have experience with or some expertise at any of these topics and you really want to help and encourage people and give them choices or maybe answers they could apply to make their own situation better and richer, JOIN US. We’d love to have you.
